Welcome to the Allens of Caledon website. We sell our products to you subject to the terms and conditions listed here. Please read them carefully before using the website. By using the website, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The Allens of Caledon website is provided solely for your personal use, you may not use this website for any commercial purpose. References in these Terms and Conditions to “we”, “us” and “Allens of Caledon” are to Allens of Caledon Boutique, Main Street, Caledon, BT68 4TZ
Registration
By registering and/or submitting an order to us via our website, you represent and warrant that the personal information you provide is true, accurate, current and complete in all respects and you will notify us immediately of any changes by contacting us via email or via the http://www.allensofcaledon.co.uk/information/contact enquiry form. By placing an order you confirm you are the person referred to in the billings details.
Product Display
We have made every effort to display the products featured as accurately as possible. However, the colours we use, as well as the display and colour capabilities of your particular computer monitor, may greatly affect the colours you actually see on the screen. Allens of Caledon cannot be held responsible for any limitations of your monitor and cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour, texture, or detail of merchandise will be accurate / the same as the actual product.
Product Pricing
In the rare event of a product price discrepancy, the purchase price of the product on the Allens of Caledon website prevails over the price that may appear on the delivery or product packaging. You will always be charged the price that is displayed on the checkout page. If the price is reduced after you purchased the item at full price, we cannot refund the difference. Please note, the online price on selected products may differ from the in store price during any promotional activity. We are entitled to make adjustments to the price to take account of any increase in our suppliers’ prices, or the imposition of any taxes or duties, or if due to an error or omission the price published for the goods is wrong whether or not the order has been acknowledged. We will inform you of the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel the order. All prices are inclusive of UK VAT but exclusive of delivery charges which will be payable as indicated at the time the order is placed.
Electricals
We recommend that any electrical item which requires fitting is done so by a qualified and registered electrician.
Privacy
We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Website.
We will only collect information about you if you willingly provide it. Please ensure you update your personal details if any of your details change. In order to do any of the following, you will need to provide us with certain details:
- Place an order
- Sign up for emails
- Provide feedback to us.
The details you provide may include your name, email address, product selections, delivery address, telephone number, credit or debit card number, the card’s expiry date and billing address. We will keep your personal information for as long as necessary and consistent with the purpose for which you have given it to us.

Allens of Caledon requires all such third parties to treat your personal information as fully confidential and to fully comply with all applicable UK Data Protection and consumer legislation from time to time in place. We will not release your Personal Information to any company outside of Allens of Caledon for mailing or marketing purposes. You should be aware that if we are requested by the police or any other regulatory or government authority investigating suspected illegal activities to provide your Personal Information and /or User Information we are entitled do so.
Indemnity
You agree fully to indemnify, defend and hold us, and our officers, directors, employees, agents and suppliers, harmless immediately on demand, from and against all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of any breach of the Conditions by you or any other liabilities arising out of your use of this Website, or the use by any other person accessing the Website using your shopping account and/or your Personal Information.

- modify or withdraw, temporarily or permanently, this Website (or any part thereof) with or without notice to you and you confirm that we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification to or withdrawal of the Website; and/or
- change the Conditions from time to time, and your continued use of the Website (or any part thereof) following such change shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change. It is your responsibility to check regularly to determine whether the Conditions have been changed. If you do not agree to any change to the Conditions then you must immediately stop using the Website.

Purchase of products
The order process is as follows: You place the order for your products on the Website by pressing the confirm order button at the end of the checkout process. We will send to you an order acknowledgement email detailing the products you have ordered. As your product is shipped from our warehouse we will send you a despatch confirmation email. Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the despatch to you of the Products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order, or you have cancelled it in accordance with the instructions. Non-acceptance of an order may be a result of one of the following:
- The product you ordered being unavailable from stock.
- Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment.
- The identification of a pricing or product description error.
- You not meeting the eligibility to order criteria set out in the main Terms & Conditions.
- The contract will be concluded in English.
Order Cancellation
For most items you may cancel your order at any time with a full refund by contacting Allens of Caledon via email info@allensofcaledon.co.uk or thehttp://www.allensofcaledon.co.uk/information/contact enquiry form, provided we have not picked, packed or despatched your items. If we have picked, packed or despatched your items, then we will not be able to stop the delivery process. You may, of course, return any goods you do not want, in accordance with our Returns Policy, but we will not be able to refund the outward postage costs. Please refer to the Returns & Refunds section on this website.
Furniture Orders
You have the right to cancel your contract at any time within 7 days of receipt of the goods you ordered. Goods must be returned in good condition for a full refund, along with the original receipt. A collection charge of £100 will be made, which will be notified to you at the time of return, unless the product is faulty. Mattresses and divan sets cannot be returned under the 7 day rule once unpacked unless the product is faulty. Cancellation must be in writing or by e-mail. This is not intended to be a full statement of all your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations.
We reserve the right not to accept any order request if:
1. We do not have the stock
2. We are no longer able to purchase the stock
3. The delivery address for the order is not in the designated areas
4. The goods were at the wrong price or had an incorrect description
Please note: If you cannot accommodate for the delivery of your furniture within 21 working days, then a storage charge to hold the goods on your behalf will be payable directly to the courier.
Please note: If there is no one available to accept the delivery on the day agreed with the courier, an £80 charge for redelivery will be payable directly to the courier. If you are unable to accommodate the delivery, you must inform us at least 24hrs in advance of the delivery day to arrange another date at no extra charge. However, if the revised delivery date exceeds 21 days from the date of the original delivery, a storage charge may apply and the goods will not be redelivered until this has been paid.
Deliveries
We are able to arrange delivery to Mainland UK and Republic of Ireland. Charges for delivery to Mainland UK will vary on size and weight. All Furniture in clearance, deliveries are all chargable.
It is your responsibility to advise us at the time of ordering your furniture of difficulties that may be encountered when delivering to your property ensuring this information is documented on the sales order form overleaf. Safe access to the room of choice must also be considered ensuring the route is clear.
Any costs incurred affecting delivery will not be the responsibility of Allens of Caledon i.e. door or window removal etc. Allens of Caledon are only responsible for delivery to your front door. All delivery times given by us are approximate. We always give delivery times in good faith but cannot be held responsible for any direct or indirect loss due to any reasonable delay or delays due to unforeseen circumstances outside of our reasonable control. Delivery is normally 2 weeks for in stock goods that are delivered within Northern Ireland. Outside of Northern Ireland delivery of in stock items can take up to 4 weeks. Delivery can take place at anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm on day of delivery. We require you to inspect your goods thoroughly upon delivery and sign a despatch note to confirm the goods have been received and the furniture and your property have been left in good condition. Should a defect or fault be apparent with your furniture you should make a note of the problem on the despatch note or notify us in writing as soon as is practicable. If the defect is covered by our guarantee the goods will be repaired by us or alternatively at our option, we will provide replacements.
If for any reason goods are not paid for in full prior to delivery, the goods remain the property of Allens of Caledon until fully paid. A collection fee may also apply.
Deliveries can only be made to one address for each purchase made.
Guarantees
We guarantee the goods for one year. This guarantee does not cover any defect, fault or damage which arises through general wear and tear or mis-use (mis-use includes any failure to care for the goods in accordance with any care advice which we give to you). Also the guarantee does not cover defects which are brought to your attention before you agree to purchase the goods and which are noted on the sales invoice, i.e. clearance goods. Notification of any defect needs to be made to either the store of purchase or our dedicated service department in your area as soon as is practicable. Please note this guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.
If you notify us within the one year guarantee period of any defect or fault which your goods have developed, provided that our inspection confirms that the defect or fault is covered by our guarantee, we will take such measures as may be necessary to rectify the problem to your reasonable satisfaction.
If after supplying replacement goods on one occasion we cannot satisfy your requirements due to faulty items, we reserve the right to uplift the goods, refund any monies due, and consider the order cancelled.
Payment
All prices are inclusive of UK VAT (where applicable) at the current rates and are correct at the time of entering the information onto the system. The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered plus delivery charges as set out in the delivery section of this Website. Payment can be made by any of the methods specified in the payment section of this website and payment will be debited and cleared from your account upon order. You confirm that the credit or debit card that is being used is yours. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
Your payment transaction will be handled by a third party via a secure site. By clicking through to payment details you will be transferred to the website of the transaction processing company.
Refusal of transaction
We reserve the right to withdraw any products from this website at any time and/or remove or edit any materials or content on this website. We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any product from this website whether or not that product has been sold; removing or editing any materials or content on the website; refusing to process a transaction or unwinding or suspending any transaction after processing has begun. To be eligible to purchase products on this website and lawfully enter into and form contracts on this website under UK law you must: – Register by providing your real name, phone number, e-mail address, payment details and other requested information. – Be over 18 years of age – Stipulate a delivery address in the United Kingdom or Ireland. Please note that PO box numbers, hotels and accommodation addresses are not acceptable. By making an offer to buy a product, you specifically authorise us to transmit information (including any updated information) or to obtain information about you from third parties from time to time, including but not limited to your debit or credit card number or credit reports, to authenticate your identity, to validate your credit card, to obtain an initial credit card authorisation and to authorise individual purchase transactions.
